Richard A. Goldman MD, PhD, FACC, FACP

Dr. Richard A. Goldman is a board-certified cardiologist and physician-scientist with 35 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine, internal medicine, and clinical research. He has worked as an investigator or sub-investigator in more than 20 clinical studies and is currently a Principal Investigator at Flourish Research in Boca Raton, Florida.

His research focuses on cardiometabolic disease, obesity-related therapeutics, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, heart failure, and arrhythmia. He is also developing and leading, as principal investigator, a physician-initiated pilot trial at Flourish Research evaluating a composite index of muscle functional capacity.

Dr. Goldman earned his BA from Johns Hopkins University and his MD and PhD in cardiovascular disease from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in cardiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.

He has held academic and clinical leadership roles at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Nova Southeastern University, and in South Florida multispecialty practice leadership. Dr. Goldman is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians.
