Michael Hafran, MD has over 20 years of clinical experience which began with serving as an Air Force physician after 911. Following a 4-year overseas tour, he left the Federal Government and returned to the Midwest to assist various hospital organizations in the development of urgent care services. During this time, he became particularly interested in the expressional facets of COPD, asthma, coronary artery disease, and diabetes.
Hafran, MD transitioned to clinical research with Parexel International in early 2020, just at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. His Phase I experience involved large and small-molecule therapeutic research and developmental work on vaccinations.
He left clinical research to pursue an opportunity in medical technology for several years but has returned to clinical research because “technology can help but can never supplant the need for human understanding of how a disease impacts peoples’ bodies and hearts.” Hafran, MD is looking forward to leveraging his medical, business, and technological knowledge to enhance and broaden Flourish Research’s contribution to the development of therapies that improve people’s health and quality of life.
