Derrick A. Williamson DO

Dr. Derrick A. Williamson is a seasoned Family Medicine Physician with over three decades of experience. Since 1987, he has been dedicated to providing comprehensive patient care as the Owner and Operator of Premier Family Medicine. He is also affiliated with the Corewell Health System.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Williamson has a strong background in medical education. He served as an Assistant Professor at Michigan State University from 2011 to 2016 before being promoted to Associate Professor from 2017 to 2019.

Dr. Williamson also brings valuable research expertise, with three years of experience in infectious diseases, vaccine and device development, respiratory disorders (COPD/Asthma), NASH/NAFLD, and metabolic conditions such as obesity and Type 2 diabetes.
