Research Study for Gout
Researchers are seeking adults with uncontrolled gout and recurring flares to participate in a clinical trial. This study tests an investigational medication that may improve outcomes for people struggling to manage gout.
Basic Criteria:
- Are between 18 and 75 years old
- Have been diagnosed with gout for at least 1 year and have uncontrolled
- Have either a visible or palpable gout lump (tophus) on your hand, wrist, foot, or ankle, or 2 or more gout flares in the past 12 months
- Have elevated uric acid levels despite treatment
- Are currently taking allopurinol for gout on a stable dose
- Are in general good health, with no major liver, kidney, heart, or stomach conditions
- Are willing and able to attend study visits and follow study instructions
