Study Details

Enrolling Clinical Research Studies

Heart Disease Study

Basic Criteria:

  • Be 18+ with at least one of the following. 
  • Coronary artery disease (CAD) 
  • Heart attack 
  • Coronary artery score (CAC) >400 
  • History of surgical or percutaneous coronary revascularization procedure. Examples: Coronary Artery Bypass grafting, Percutaneous Coronary Interventintion, Endarterectomy, Transmyocardial laser Revascularization  
  • Stroke (ischemic, hemorrhagic or unknow type) 
  • Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) defined as either intermittent claudication within the last 12months OR prior nontraumatic amputation or peripheral procedure (stenting or surgical revascularization)  

OR 

  • Be 55+ with high risk for CVD with at least 2 of the following  
  • Age ≥ 70 years  
  • Chronic kidney Disease  eGFR <60 
  • Current smoker-clarify 
  • AFIB and on medical therapy (anticoagulation or rate control) 
  • Most recent CAC score >100 
  • Type 1 or 2 diabetes, BMI≥ 30 or BMI ≥ 27 if East Asian, South East Asian or South Asian decent 
  • Treated high blood pressure, on a stable dose for 30days with a thiazide, thiazide-like or loop diuretic AND at least one other standard care of Blood pressure meds for any of these drug classes: ACE inhibitor or ARB, Calcium channel blocker, Beta blocker, MRA, Vasodilator (hydralazine, minoxidil, alpha blocker) or centrally acting antihypertensive medication (e.g. clonidine)  
  • Blood pressure range ≥ 145mmHg and <180mmHg Systolic, clarify about diastolic/systolic values
