Flu Vaccine Study for Adults 65 and Older
Flourish Research is looking for adults 65 and older to join a flu vaccine research study. We are comparing an investigational mRNA flu vaccine to a standard high-dose flu shot that is already approved, to see which one better prevents the flu. Participants will get one dose of one of the two vaccines and will be followed through the flu season, which is about 6 to 8 months.
Qualified Participants Must:
✔ Be 65 years of age or older
✔ Be in generally good health, or have long-term health conditions that are stable (no major change in treatment and no hospital stay for a worsening condition in the past 3 months)
✔ Not have had a lab-confirmed case of the flu or received any flu vaccine in the past 180 days, and not plan to get a flu shot elsewhere during the study
✔ Be willing to use a phone app to report symptoms and collect your own nasal swab if you get flu-like symptoms (a caregiver can help)
✔ Be available for study visits and phone check-ins through the flu season, with no planned trips or time away of 4 weeks or more in a row

- $150 compensation for the screening visit
