Basic Criteria:
Answers Must be NO
- If female, are you currently nursing, pregnant or plan to become pregnant during the study?
- Have you lost or gained 11 or more pounds of body weight in the past 6 months?
- In the past 6 months, have you used any investigational or approved weight loss drugs, or had any surgical treatment for obesity?
- The following are acceptable if done more than 6 months ago and have been well tolerated with no complications:
- Gastric Bypass Surgery, Adjustable Gastric Band, Gastric Balloon, Sleeve Gastrectomy.
- If you smoke, have you had more than 10 cigarettes per day in the last 6 months?
- In the past 2 years, have you used/abused any illicit drugs or alcohol, or tested positive for drug or alcohol?
- Do you consume 14 or more alcoholic drinks weekly?
- Do you have any known allergy to polyethylene glycol, or history of severe (anaphylactic) allergic reaction to drugs, food, insect bites, environmental allergens or have multiple drug allergies?
- Do you have a history or current diagnosis of any of the following conditions:
- Neurological disease like seizures or convulsions, or psychiatric disease.(Mild anxiety ok)
- Depression in the last 2 years, or suicide behaviors in the past month
- Any history of attempted suicide, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder
- Ventricular tachycardia, ventricular or atrial fibrillation, clinically significant heart block or heart bypass surgeries
- Eating disorder or at risk for an eating disorder
- Cancer within the past 5 years. Exception: basal or squamous cell skin carcinoma.
- Liver disease (including fatty liver), GI issues including GERD.
- Do you have a history of or current HIV, hepatitis B or C, or active Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) infection?
Answers Must be YES
- If you have any of the following conditions, are you currently on medications (8 weeks stable on medication): Diabetes (Type I or II, must be on insulin/oral and have a1C less than 6.4%) osteoporosis, hyperparathyroidism, bleeding disorders, respiratory disease (asthma, COPD etc.), Liver disease, GI disease, ophthalmologic disorders including retinal disorders
- If female and of childbearing potential, do you agree to use 2 highly effective methods of birth control from Day 1 and until 90 days after final dose. (must be on birth control 2 weeks prior to screening)
