To qualify, you must:
- Be 18 or older
- One of the following must apply:

- Heart attack
- Stroke
- Narrowing of the arteries of the heart, lower extremities or carotid arteries
- Stent
- Coronary bypass
- Peripheral artery disease with revascularization procedure
- Chronic Kidney Disease
- If you are 40-79 — at least 3 High-Risk Factors, below:
- Type 2 Diabetes
- High Blood Pressure
- High Cholesterol
- Smoker
- Be currently taking 2 to 4 hypertension medications
- Not have a documented history of HIV or positive test for HIV-1, HIV-2, active HBV, active HCV
- Not have taken an investigational medication within the last month
- Not be a recipient of major organ transplant or expected to undergo organ transplantation during the study period
- Not have undergone a liver transplantation or is anticipated to be on an active liver transplantation waiting list
- Not have a known history of chronic liver disease or cirrhosis
- Not have active cancer
- Not have planned major surgery or general anesthesia during the study
- Agree to use effective birth control if a woman of childbearing potential or a man whose partner is of childbearing potential
- Not have a history of alcohol abuse or alcohol dependency within the last 12 months
