Answers Must Be No:
Are you nursing or pregnant?
Have you ever had a severe adverse reaction to a vaccine or any severe allergic reaction?
Are you immunocompromised?
Do you have a bleeding disorder that would be affected by an intramuscular injection?
Do you have HIV? Treated/stable meds with medical records OK
Do you have a history of Hepatitis B or C? Treated/stable meds with medical records OK
Have you received blood or blood products, immunoglobulin or monoclonal antibodies in the past 60 days?
Have you received any immunosuppressive medications (such as corticosteroids for cancer or autoimmune disease) or radiotherapy in the past 60 days?
Have you been in another study in the past 28 days?
Answers Must Be Yes
Are you able to read and sign consent?
Do you have one arm free or dermatological conditions (tattoos, psoriasis) in the upper arm?
If you have any chronic conditions are you stable for past 6 weeks (no changes in meds or hospitalizations)?
If female of child-bearing potential do you agree to use contraception for at least 28 after receiving study vaccine?
The following forms of contraception are acceptable:
Implantable progestogen-only hormone contraception associated with inhibition of ovulation.
Intrauterine device.
Intrauterine hormone-releasing system.
Bilateral tubal occlusion.
Vasectomized partner:
Combined (estrogen and progestogen-containing) hormonal contraception associated with inhibition of ovulation:
Oral;
Intravaginal;
Transdermal.
Progestogen-only hormone contraception associated with inhibition of ovulation:
Oral;
Injectable.
Sexual abstinence
Progestogen-only oral hormonal contraception where inhibition of ovulation is not the primary mode of action.
Male or female condom, with or without spermicide.
Cervical cap, diaphragm, or sponge with spermicide.
A combination of male condom with either cervical cap, diaphragm, or sponge with spermicide (double-barrier methods).
Women of non-childbearing potential: Hysterectomy, bilateral salpingectomy, bilateral oophorectomy, 12 months post-menopausal
If male with a partner of child-bearing potential, do you agree to refrain from donating sperm while in the study and if not vasectomized agree to use a male condom, and should also be advised of the benefit for a female partner to use a highly effective method of contraception
