Qualified participants must: 

• Be 55 years old or older (Men) and 65 years old or older (Women)

• Must have Type 2 Diabetes, prediabetes, or metabolic syndrome (increased waist circumference, elevated triglycerides, elevated blood pressure, elevated glucose, and low good cholesterol) 

• Not have symptomatic cardiovascular disease including but not limited to: 

• • Prior heart attack, unstable angina, stroke, claudication, or have current or planned arterial revascularization 

• Not have history of thyroid cancer in the past 5 years  

• Not weigh more than 300 lbs 

• Not be unable to hold breath for more than 10 seconds  

• Not have an active arrhythmia  

• Additional criteria may apply 

 

Compensation may be available for time and travel.
