Cardiovascular Prescreen

Qualified participants must:

Basic Criteria

•  Are you ages 18 or older?
• Do you have at least two of the following conditions?
  • BMI ≥30(calculate here)
  • High cholesterol
  • High blood pressure
  • Smoker

OR

Have you had one of the following:

• Heart attack
• Heart bypass surgery
• Diagnosis of narrowing of the arteries due to plaque buildup (also called coronary atherosclerosis)
• Stroke
• Carotid artery surgery (also called revascularization)
• Diagnosis of narrowing of the carotid artery
• Peripherial arterial disease (PAD)

Answers Must Be No

• Have you had cancer in the past 5 years?
• Do you have heart failure or kidney disease requiring dialysis?
• Do you have hepatitis or HIV?
• Are you pregnant or breastfeeding?
• Do you currently abuse drugs or alcohol?
• Are you currently in another research study?

Answers Must Be Yes

• Are you able to read and understand study directions?
• If female of child-bearing potential do you agree to use contraception during the trial?
• If male, if not vasectomize, do you agree to use appropriate contraception

There is no cost to participate and you will receive labs and an ASCVD score at no cost. Qualified participants will be shared appropriate paid research studies they may want to participate.
