Binge Eating Disorder Self-Scheduler

To qualify for this study participants must: 

• Be 18-55 years old 
• Have BMI between 18 and 45 kg/m2 (Click here to calculate)
• Have at least 3 binge eating days per week 
  • A binge eating day ( or binge day) is a day during which at least one binge-eating episode occurs. 
• Not have a current or lifetime history of the following psychiatric conditions: anorexia nervosa, psychotic disorder, bipolar disorder, neurodevelopmental disorder; or lifetime history of psychiatric disorder leading to hospitalization. 
• Not have a history of bulimia nervosa within the past year 
• Not have a first degree relative (biological parent or sibling) with a diagnosis of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or bipolar disorder. 
• Not have a history of drug dependence or substance-related disorder ( excluding nicotine and caffeine) within 12 months 
• Not have attempted suicide within 2 years 
• Not have a history of severe head trauma, seizures (except infantile febrile seizures), or unexplained syncope (except single incident) 
• Not have a symptomatic cardiovascular or cerebrovascular disease, including but not limited to: 
  • History of myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular accident, unstable angina, or cardiovascular revascularization procedures. 
  • Known cardiac structural abnormality or any other condition that may affect cardiac performance 
• Not have a documented history of HIV or positive test for HIV-1, HIV-2, active Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), active Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) 
• Not have uncontrolled hypertension (High Blood Pressure) 
  • systolic blood pressure > 139 mm Hg or diastolic blood pressure >89 mm Hg 
• Not have a history of cancer within the last 5 years 
• Not have Type I diabetes mellitus, insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus 
• Agree to use effective birth control if a woman of childbearing potential or a man whose partner is of childbearing potential 
• Not have participated in a clinical study in the past 30 days
