The Flourish Andersonville clinic began as Great Lakes Clinical Trials and served as the company’s flagship research center. It was founded in 2013 by Steve Satek, President and CEO, and currently employs over 30 full-time staff, including four investigators, and over a dozen research coordinators. The opening of the this location brought clinical trials to the north side of Chicago’, a traditionally underserved and diverse population of over 1.5 million.
As an extension of the Flourish Andersonville clinic, the Clark Street outpatient clinic is located one block away. The Clark Street clinic was opened at the beginning of the pandemic as a means of running diagnostic and outpatient treatment studies for patients potentially infected with COVID -19. Since its opening, this 1,200-square-foot suite has specialized in phase I-IV, outpatient, infusion-focused COVID-19 clinical trials.
Backed by 30 years of clinical research experience, Satek and his team have come to specialize in the study of investigational medications, food products, and supplements for the treatment of chronic diseases, notably in metabolic disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, psychiatry, and vaccines. This clinic also has a full-service PBMC processing and storage laboratory.
Additionally, the organization is committed to educating communities on medical research advances and the clinical trial process, while providing study participants with an exceptional experience. CEO Steve Satek sits on the Board of Directors for Society for Clinical Research Sites.
