The NCCR Inverness office is located along Central Florida’s Gulf Coast, 90 minutes north of Tampa International Airport or 90 minutes west of Orlando International Airport. The investigators and staff have been among the highest enrollers in numerous studies. The office is located in close proximity to a county hospital that features a close-knit and active medical community. The site coordinates both inpatient and outpatient trials under the direction of its two Medical Directors. Dr. Rafik Abadier oversees Phase 1 trials and has been a practicing cardiologist for more than thirty years. Dr. Paul Hellstern oversees Phase 2-4 trials and has been a practicing gastroenterologist for nearly thirty years.
