Dr. Mark Christiansen is an endocrinologist and highly respected clinical researcher with more than three decades of experience in internal medicine, diabetes care, and investigational medicine. He currently serves as the Medical Director at Diablo Clinical Research (Now Flourish Research, Walnut Creek), where he has led over 300 clinical trials and contributed as a sub-investigator in more than 350 additional studies.

Dr. Christiansen specializes in diabetes technologies, including continuous glucose monitoring systems, insulin pumps, and hybrid closed-loop devices. His research spans a broad range of therapeutic areas, from metabolic and cardiovascular health to gastrointestinal, neurological, and immunological conditions. His expertise and leadership have helped bring forward innovative treatments and medical devices to improve patient outcomes.

He earned his MD from Case Western Reserve University, completed his internal medicine residency at University Hospitals in Cleveland, and pursued a fellowship in Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Christiansen is a widely published author in peer-reviewed journals and a frequent contributor to leading diabetes technology conferences.
